How to Use:
-Always place smoke detectors 30cm away from any wall/corners
-Ideally placed near entrances to allow for easier escape
Care Tips:
-Test the alarm once in a month to ensure continued functionality
-Use a narrow nozzle vacuum cleaner to rid the smoke alarm of dust and cobwebs
-Cover the smoke alarm during a renovation to avoid dust clogs

How to Use:
Pull the nozzle pin
Aim the nozzle at the base of the fire
Squeeze the levers
Sweep from side to side
Care Tips:
-Check the pressure gauge on a monthly basis, the needle should lie in the green zone (Note: Do not throw away your fire extinguisher if the needle reaches the red zone before the expiry date! Servicing will make it as good as new)
-Visible signs of damage (e.g. corrosion, leakage or a clogged nozzle) is a clear indication for replacement soonest possible
-Document your inspections! Place a sticker on the fire extinguisher to keep track of your monthly checks
FIRE BLANKET
How to Use:
-Familiarise yourself with the blanket by holding it in a proper manner, it can be stored back into the box
-The handles should be held upwards with the blanket covering the bottom of your hand nearest to the fire
Care Tips:
-Do not store the blanket near the stove
-Instead, store the blanket near the kitchen entrance, which allows for immediate escape if the situation gets out of hand
